Good Substitute for Kozuka Mincho? We inadvertently picked the Adobe Kazuka font for a design. But this is really a Japanese font w/ a few Western glyphs. Any good substitutes? Melior is pretty close http://www.myfonts.com/search?search%5Btext%5D=melior I think the X height is higher than Melior. But will check it out. Thanks. and I thought you were going to tell me that Melior needed to be condensed... Well, yes, Melior is not as condensed. And does not have a Light typeface. Will still keep looking. We need an Open Type format, but one with italics (this has alot of weights, but not italics) Actually, Kozuka Mincho’s Latin caracters are customized “Adobe Serif MM.” You can try Adobe’s Utopia.
Takeshi - well, if that’s the case (based on Adobe Serif MM) I can't really select that font (won't show up in font menu as it’s an internal Adobe font). And Utopia is a bit wider. I have yet to find a font that looks like this that has a light typeface, with high x-height and slightly condensed. Post a Reply
