Brahim Boucheikha is a French-Moroccan graphic designer and typographer. He lives and works between Paris and Marrakech where he teaches at the ESAVM (École Supérieure des Arts Visuels in Marrakech)
After a Moroccan childhood, Brahim Boucheikha arrived in Paris to pursue his secondary education, after which he joined the ECV (Ecole de Communication Visuelle). He attended the school and made lasting contacts with several teachers.
At the same time as his studies, he trained in Arabic calligraphy with Abdallah Akar.
As a young graduate, he joined two branding agencies where he trained: Landor in Dubai and Dragon Rouge in Paris.
In a concern for responsible commitment, Brahim Boucheikha has been involved for 10 years in the ESAV (Ecole Supérieure des Arts Visuels) in Marrakech as head of the Arabic typography laboratory. In this capacity, he participates in the development of the ESAV's Master's programme, in which typography has a very important place.
Brahim co-founded in 2015, Babelfont, a typographic design studio. Between 2015 and 2017, he participated in the organisation of the Typography Matchmaking in the Maghrib project with the Khatt Foundation.
