About DoCQoi Sans Font Family

This font contains many meanings such as cheering, prosperous business, strongness and universality.

"DOKKOI" is An interjection used in cheering for Japanese traditional wrestling sports “SUMO”.

Since SUMO wrestlers’ slapping force is about 500kg, they need to put on a lot of weight so as to protect their body from the impact of slapping and gain the risk of getting hurts.

In sumo tournaments, traditionally letters are written very thick. It is said that the thick letters are written to fill the blank spaces in hopes that the venue will be filled with spectators.

About Thirdin

We are based in Japan and creating new fonts. We are surrounded by so many languages and so many letters. In Japan we believe each words have their own soul and power and we call this "KOTODAMA". In daily life, while we are speaking, writing or chatting, we do not think of the design, history, concept or the story of each characters, but they all have meaning in itself. As a creator Thridin's role is to tell people the story of fonts and to value words when we use.
