I am a letter designer who turns calligraphy into a font. I have been a letter artist since 2015, and I have learned about the understanding and use of letter shapes, and the power of letters.
I learned various forms by writing and expressing letters on various media such as paper, canvas, wood, glass, cloth, and wall. Among them, I spent a lot of time on traditional calligraphy typefaces such as Gothic and Italic letter. Later, while using calligraphy work for vector type graphics work such as illustrator, I felt the need for a font, and I came to design an OTF type font.
In Korea, I have been teaching gothic typeface online since 2020. Through many years of education, I have fully understood the mechanism of handwriting strokes and applied them to fonts, thereby systematically constructing the form of letters. Calligraphy and fonts are different areas, with only the same core as letters. I am constantly striving to complement each other by crossing those two.
