Cheq

Some words from Adobe:

Designed by John Renner for Adobe Systems in 1990, Cheq is intended primarily for diagramming chessboard layouts. Consisting mainly of symbols for black and white chess pieces on both white and shaded backgrounds, Cheq also contains plain white and shaded squares, as well as line symbols for creating a solid border around the chessboard.
