Linotypes Engravers Bold Facewith its wide set, extreme contrast, and sharp serifsis instantly recognizable as a turn-of-the-century American business typeface. It is based on a typeface designed for the American Type Founders in 1902 by Morris Fuller Benton. It was frequently seen on broadsides, business cards, and letterheads and suits those purposes equally well today.
