About this font family

Designed by Jean-Renaud Cuaz and released in 1993, ITC Cerigo is a text face with roots in Renaissance lettering. Cuaz set out to capture the grace and elegance of 15th-century designs in his roman, and used 16th-century models for his italic. The result is a text face with a controlled roman and spontaneous italic that offers typographic versatility in a relatively small family. ITC Cerigo has a large x-height, short ascenders and descenders, and center crossbars on the capital E and F that are serifless and taper outward to a point. It comes in three weights: book, medium and bold, and can be used for text and display work.
