First seen on MyFonts: December 3rd, 2007 ITC Mendoza RomanJosé Mendoza began working with type in the early 1950s when he was an assistant to the innovative French graphic and type designer Roger Excoffon. ITC Mendoza Roman, designed in 1991 by José Mendoza, is a handsome typeface with uncommon evenness and proportion; the italic is strong, yet graceful, and highly readable. Mendoza says of his work that he always tries to mix rigor and sensitivity, and the feeling of a hands gesture to his designs. ITC Mendoza Roman exemplifies all of these qualities and can be used for books and other text settings, as well as display work requiring a typeface that is both lively and elegant.
