Design Credits
First seen on MyFonts: December 3rd, 2007 San MarcoSan Marco was designed in 1990 by Karlgeorg Hoefer for Linotype as part of the Type Before Gutenberg series. The design is based on the full and rounded Italian and Spanish blackletter forms (rotunda) of the late fifteenth century. Livelier and less formal than many other blackletters, San Marco is characterized by its rounded features, the comparatively large amount of white space, and flat baseline stroke endings. Use San Marco for display work that requires a blackletter that is simple and easy to read. Not quite what you’re looking for? Try looking at more fonts like this.
