About this font family
Shannon was co-designed for Compugraphic in 1982 by Kris Holmes and Janice Prescott. The design is a humanistic sans serif with slightly flared stems reminiscent of Optima.
The book weight is comfortable to read in short- to medium-length texts, while the two bolder weights provide good contrast in headlines and other display situations.
