The Wendy family is modeled on an informal script from the 1960s. Garret Boge extended the original weight to a family of three—Light, Medium, and Bold.

Its upright, casual handwriting style, with natural joins and connecting strokes, projects a friendly personality that can lend an approachable quality to headlines and short blocks of text.
