First seen on MyFonts: February 28th, 2006 Imago BQDeveloping a new sans serif clearly distinguishable from existing sans serifs is a difficult task. Günter Gerhard Lange accomplished that with Imago, introduced by Berthold in 1982. It is narrower in proportion than others, has a square-like shape to its curves and numerals that are slightly shorter than its cap height. Particular attention was given to the expression of each individual character and great care was taken to keep them open and clear even in the smallest of sizes and boldest of weights. Under the direction of G.G. Lange, bold and bold italic weights were added in 2000, making Imago an extremely well-balanced family with universal applicability. Imago is especially useful for office memoranda, and scanning and faxing documents. Not quite what you’re looking for? Try looking at more fonts like this.
