Design Credits
First seen on MyFonts: January 1st, 2000 ITC CheltenhamLicensed from ATF, the familiar large x-height, closely fitted, softened version of the original series, prepared for ITC by Tony Stan. The earliest large x-height Cheltenham was Phil Martin’s Cheltenham X 23 with a 23% larger x-height than normal, narrowly franchised by Alphabet Innovations. When Montgomery Ward chose the design for their catalogues, it had to be produced widely, leading to Cheltenham Nova and New Cheltenham. ITC Cheltenham resembles all three.
