Designed for Letraset, Colin Brignall’s caricature of Monotype’s Italian Old Style that was taken from Joseph W. Phinney’s Jenson Old Style. The Italia series, as distributed by ITC, can be seen as a contemporary take-off on the nostalgic Arts and Crafts typefaces inspired by the original cut of Nicholas Jenson, with one eye on some of the structure and forms of Memphis.
