Novel Pro (917 glyphs) contains many alternate glyphs and ligatures, lining figures (proportionally and monospaced), hanging figures (proportionally and monospaced), Small Caps figures (proportionally and monospaced), positive and negative circled figures for upper and lower case, superior and inferior figures, fractions, extensive language support and many more OpenType™ features.

Novel Std (245 glyphs) contains a reduced character set, with less OpenType features and doesn't include Small Caps.

Novel was awarded by the Type Directors Club of New York with the Certificate of Excellence in Type Design in 2009. Novel was also nominated by the German Ministry of Economy and Technology for the Design Prize of Germany 2010.
