First seen on MyFonts: January 1st, 2008 BolívarBolívar is a contemporary calligraphic display typeface inspired in the handwriting of one of the most prominent personalities of the nineteenth century in latin america: Simón Bolívar, “the liberator". This new typeface intends to convey all the passion of this man, present in the calligraphic features of his handwriting, into a mechanical writing. Among the characteristics that best contribute to build its personality, are worth mentioning the excessive length of ascenders and descenders as well as the more than 45 degrees of slant. Bolívar also mimics certain aspects of handwriting such as the slightly different baseline alignment for each letter and ink clogs in the whitespace of some letter shapes. Use Bolívar whenever you feel the need to give a very personal touch to a text fragment, from logos or single words to sentences and captions. Not quite what you’re looking for?
