Avia
We have all seen proofs where faulty platemaking or light inking has lost all hairlines in a delicate roman. Raphael Boguslav observed the effect and understood it as a sophisticated form of stencil design.
He used the idea in a logotype for Abex Corporation, then expanded it into Avia, a prize-winning PhotoTypositor font for Visual Graphics Corporation.
Jill Pichotta has added the Light and Bold for Font Bureau.
