About this font family
Comrade is based on a postcard handlettered in 1923 by Antwerp artist Josef Peeters.
Jim Parkinson liked the design and expanded it into a family offering one weight in three widths. Simulating irregularities of type made by hand, letterforms vary from style to style and by typing upper and lowercase.
Parkinson prefers the font set with no leading or minus leading so that one line almost butts up against the lines above or below.
