El Grande®A font family tree displays different foundries’ versions, or a foundry’s different cuts, of basically the same typeface design.
El GrandeSome words from Font Bureau: You have seen El Grande in mid-century comic books, used wherever simple, black-and-white ideas had to be driven hard, all the way home. The design was adopted by American grocery stores, by supermarkets, by catalogues, and by all who required a winner in the presentation shouting match. Jim Parkinson, no mean enthusiast for the straightforward simplicity of the period, prepared this design for Font Bureau. |
