Elmhurst®A font family tree displays different foundries’ versions, or a foundry’s different cuts, of basically the same typeface design.
ElmhurstSome words from Font Bureau: In 1994, Christopher Slye decided to design Elmhurst as the best way to learn something about type.“I thought that a typeface intended for continuous text would be the most challenging to design,” he recalls, “I assumed it would offer the best learning experience.” He attempted a unique and personal design that would remain familiar, usable and versatile; the design became a five-part series, named for the street where he grew up. Among other uses, Elmhurst is recommended for Newspaper, Magazine, Book and Corporate use. |
