Suzdal is a city in Vladimir region, on the river Kamenka, 26 kilometers from Vladimir. It is known since 1024. In 12th century it became the capital of the Rostov-Suzdal princedom, in 13th century - the Suzdal princedom, in the first half of 14th century - the Suzdal-Nizhniy Novgorod princedom. The set of monuments of Russian wooden architecture of 13-19th centuries, the most beautiful ancient churches and monasteries have been kept here. Suzdal is a part of “The Golden Ring of Russia” world famous tourist route.
