Golum

Some words from Alex Kaczun:

Deep in the caverns of the underworld, goblins were hard at work mimicking the writings of man. The typeface, Golum, was the result of their crude attempt to communicate with humans. The font was forged in stone and is suitable for both text and display.

As a type designer trained in the skills of fine typography it was difficult to fashion such crude letter forms. But I was inspired by Caslon Antique and determined to free myself and explore the random aspects of form. As a result, I continue to experiment with all unconventional approaches to letter design in hopes of developing my own unique style of form and expression.
