First seen on MyFonts: March 17th, 2003 Letraset Aachen Medium 1977Designed by Alan Meeks under the art direction of Colin Brignall as a medium weight complement to the highly successful Aachen Bold. Categorized as a slab serif Egyptian, it has the unmistakable Aachen pedigree. Because of its less weighty features, it can be used in much smaller display sizes. To maximize the full potential of this typeface, letter and word spacing should be very tight. Letraset Aachen Bold 1969Letraset Type Director Colin Brignall designed Aachen Bold in the 1960’s to capitalize on the freedom that photosetting and dry transfer lettering offered. Aachen Bold features extra bold weight, contemporary lines and short serifs which allow the letters to be closely spaced. A consistently popular typeface over the years for large headlines that need attention grabbing ‘muscle’. Not quite what you’re looking for? Try looking at more fonts like this. |
