First seen on MyFonts: March 17th, 2003 UffingtonA spiky, casual slab serif Egyptian design with more than a hint of 1940’s retro is the latest typeface from Tim Donaldson. A calligrapher and type designer whose extraordinary breadth of styles range from refined elegance to the downright bold and brash. No doubt inspired by the current 1940s haute couture trend, the unique Uffington will be a much sought after font, especially for those occasions that demand something slightly more formal than a hand lettered effect script but less formal than a normal typeface. The weight and the rather condensed letter proportions of Uffington are just perfect for punchy display work, especially when the letterforms are closely set. But check it out at the smaller sizes too because it works surprisingly well down to the 18 point mark. Not quite what you’re looking for? Try looking at more fonts like this. |
