ITC Kabel
The first cuts of Kabel appeared in 1927 with the foundry Gebr. Klingspor and like many of the fonts which Rudolf Koch designed for printing, Kabel is a carefully constructed and drawn typeface. Its basic forms were influenced by the Roman Capitalis, which also consisted of just a few, clear geometric forms, circle, square and triangle, but Koch also let Kabel display some elements of Art Deco. ITC Kabel, in America well-known as Cable, is significantly different in form and proportion from Koch’s original.
