This font was inspired by old Spanish explorer documents and maps such as those from Juan Cabrillo who discovered Santa Barbara in 1542. Many great old maps and documents can be found at the Library of Congress.

Using an outer glow and other layer effects with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator or InDesign you can create interesting weathered effects with this font.
