About Anastas Font Family

Anastas is a modern high-end serif. The font is ideally suited for editorial use in books, magazines, publishing, logo, branding and creative industries as well as poster and billboards. Anastas supports all most all European Languages. It equally includes a series of Opentype features of standard ligatures, discretionary ligatures and stylistic sets. Anastas is a modern, sophisticated and stylish typeface that boarders on the edge of a classic font. It draws inspiration from modern structural grids that are responsible for our rigid movement with in our cosmopolitan landscapes. The constant redevelopment and revitalisation of London’s metropolis excited me to develop Anastas. Anastas is greek in origin coming from the word “Anastasi” which means “resurrection” or “revitalisation”.

About Michael Brosnan

I became interested in font design after living in Japan, I would practice my Japanese by reading signage and then later comparing Japanese signage to late 20th century American commercialisation of Motel, Hotel and commercial signage. It wasn't until I went back and studied Graphic Design in 2006 at Central Saint Martins in London that I became intrigued in the process of designing fonts. There we mainly studied typography and understood the context of typefaces and their application. No one could actually teach us how to design fonts or what programs to use so I made it my goal to design and master the genre myself. I had designed a few type faces before Anastas over the last 5 years but Anastas defines me as a designer and it is the one I want to release first. I have more fonts that I can release later but I will be working on the Anastas font family in the mean time
