About this font family
The typeface was designed at the Polygraphmash type foundry in 1951-53 (designers Lev Malanov, Elena Tzaregorodceva) based on the typeface Excelsior, 1936 based on the typeface Excelcior of the Mergenthaler Linotype, 1931 (designer Chauncey H. Griffith).
