AtlanticaA font family tree displays different foundries’ versions, or a foundry’s different cuts, of basically the same typeface design.
AtlanticaSome words from Vanarchiv: Atlantica was designed in 2004-2005 and it is a transitional typeface. The stress is vertical between thick and thin strokes. The size of x-height and the openness of the letterforms make this face very legible at small sizes. The italics are real italics, not sloped roman and the typographic color is narrower than the upright version. There are only two different weights in each version, regular and bold. All weights contain the full Western European character set, and the euro symbol in two distinctive versions, a tall one to go with the lining figures (€) and another adapted to the small caps (€). Each weight has common ligatures (fi, fl) but the Atlantica Ligatures set provides extended possibilities for different combinations (ff, ffb, fb, ffh, fh, ffi, ffj, fj, ffk, fk, ffl, ffr, fr, fft, ft, ffy, fy, Th, ct). For advanced typographic features the Open Type version includes ligatures for each weight. |
