Pentagraf

For some time, a certain literary magazine in Brno used Pentagramme for text setting. I was sorry that its sharp and tall ascenders impaired the legibility of the otherwise interesting texts. The adjustment of Pentagramme gave rise to Pentagraf which, apart from ascenders shortened to the level of upper case letters also features adjusted kernings and simplified non-lining figures in order to be suitable for the setting of very long texts. By dropping Pentagramme’s stiff geometric-occult scheme, a quite modern and casual text type face came into being.
