About the family

NEW – Updated for 2025! Originally designed back in 2014, Neon is an experimental, retro sci-fi display typeface by Superfried. Remastered for 2025, this unique font showcases significant design enhancements, including refined glyphs and improved spacing for optimal readability.  Neon offers two unique styles that can be easily toggled using the shift key, allowing for versatile applications in various design projects. Inspired by neon signage, classic sci-fi films, and video games from my childhood, Neon has evolved into a distinctive display typeface that stands out in branding, editorial, and web design.  With 266 glyphs, Neon is perfect for creating eye-catching headlines and graphics. Featured in Computer Arts magazine and on North East, it’s a must-have for designers looking to add a touch of retro flair to their work.

About Superfried

Hi, Mark here – self-taught designer and the founder of a graphic design studio called Superfried. Launched from a London bedroom in 2007, Superfried now delivers award-winning brand strategy from sunny Manchester. I collaborate with external specialists to provide bespoke solutions for domestic and international clients. In addition to project work, I experiment with typography, which has led to the release of 16 commercial typefaces. Superfried fonts reflect the client work – varied and experimental in nature. From everyday, multi-weight sans serifs and headline fonts, through to highly conceptual, challenging, and unique styles ideal for bold marketing campaigns and brand development projects.
