Jillsville

Jillsville is a sweet, delicate font with a fine lines and feminine overtones. She’s light and lithe, but “she ain’t no wallflower.”

Reminiscent of a typewriter font, but proportionally spaced, Jillsville is ideal for oversized headlines and photographic overlays where a heavier font would look obese. Jill features inviting, ample looks—the kind of girl you’d be proud to bring home to mother. She’s got dainty little slab serifs on the lower case and plenty of width where it counts. Heck, she even has attractive curls! Anybody would reckon that, technically, Jill’s ‘a square’ slab. Originally she had standard ball-ends, quotes and punctuation, but it made her look ‘heavy’ so she had her boyfriend drill a hole in each. Don’t look at me—I just designed her.

Like all good girls, Jillsville comes outfitted for all occasions in 4 styles; Regular, Oblique, Bold and Bold Oblique. She has it all: upper and lower case, numerals, accents and enough punctuation to turn your head.

Jillsville isn’t just a pretty face. She’s versatile and happiest when she’s useful. Light and airy, she’s right at home as a headline font. If you want your packaging to have a feminine, flirty appeal without being too girlish, Jillsville is be perfect for you. Take her out, show her a good time and she’ll be your new best friend.
