MyFonts’ review: Chris Costello, designer of the wildly successful Papyrus font for Letraset, demonstrates there’s plenty more to come from that lettering hand. Starting with scary Blackstone and the genuinely disturbing Virus (a font we wouldn’t want to meet alone in a dark alley), he’s more recently added two more. Letterpress Text brings back the charm of olde-worlde printing. Finally there’s the simply stunning Mirage script. According to Chris it was drawn with a watercolor brush and ink while thinking about the Sahara Desert and ancient civilizations. Its stroke contrast and stuttering curves remind us of Japanese calligraphy.
