Huerta Tipografica is an Argentinian Type foundry that was founded in 2009, during the first year of the MA of Type Design in the University of Buenos Aires (CDT-UBA). It is formed by Juan Pablo del Peral, Carolina Giovagnoli, Sol Matas and Andrés Torresi, all of whom are Graphic and Type designers. The group originated as a place to meet, cooperate and share experiences while collaborating on academic and commercial projects.

We have a deep respect for design and typography. This motivates us to identify specific typographical needs and seek innovative and functional solutions to these problems. We are strongly committed to the quality of our work, which evolves through the exchange of ideas, experiences and knowledge, primarily within our group but also with colleagues. With this in mind we work on developing projects with different distribution types: commercial, free and exclusive (in cases of custom type design). The quality of our work has been recognized in several international events such as Letter.2 (ATypI), Tipos Latinos and the Bienal Iberoamericana de Diseño Madrid.
