MyFonts’ review: Pixietype’s font collection is entirely pixel fonts, designed to work best in Flash. Not the first to do that, you might say. But they’re employing a new technique for making bitmap fonts smoother – making it possibly the best way to show small text on the web. The “FX” version of each style exploits the anti-aliasing in Flash and other programs, causing certain pixels to turn gray, rather than black or white. To achieve this, small extra parts are added to the outline. Compare them with the non-FX versions.
