Boho is inspired by a bohemian girl who is a free soul and creative spirit. She is a city girl, but she loves spending a lot of time outdoors and being close to nature. She loves art and going to the antiques and organic food markets. She is a wild and free spirit who knows no bounds.
Burford is a font family that I sketched while traveling through Europe. I was mesmerized by all the unique typography that was showcased throughout the five countries I visited. Inspired by all that I had seen, I found myself spending 4-5 hours per day in Amsterdam’s Vondel Park drawing characters. Once back in the states I digitalized Burford, deciding it would make for a beautiful layer-based font.

Begum is a Latin display serif typeface with contrast. With an ultra-contemporary appearance, its characters share DNA with classic Anglo-Dutch types like Caslon, Fleischmann or Times. The family shines in shorter-length texts, multi-line article introductions, and even on packaging. Begum is part of a larger family that supports also Devanagari and Tamil scripts.
#21: Tita Script
Tita is dedicated to my grandmother Hebe, witty and arrabalera 1. The font is inspired by Milonga 2 music and the fileteado porteño 3. I picture it at The Moulin Rouge, sparkling, provocative, loving. It evokes Tita Merello and my grandmum singing her music. Tita is Argentinean to its very core. A font to shout goal and dulce de leche 4 with passion! Its curves originate from polirhythmic calligraphy, which I learnt from my mentor Silvia Cordero Vega. Tita is a pedigree script that is based on hand lettering and Sandra Biondi’s calligraphy works. Font digitalisation by Daniel Hernández. Edited by Javier Quintana / Programmed by Manuel Corradine.
Like a muscle car from decades ago, Colt aims to balance unbridled power and finesse. The wide letterforms arose out of a love for type found on motor vehicles made in the sixties. As the typeface took shape, the characters utilized the Clarendon style with attention to its ball terminals to anchor the design. The result yields a new take on the extended slab-serif genre in a wide array of weights.

Aelita is a low contrast serif typeface in 6 styles. It’s distinguished by lowercase character alternates that noticeably change the text pattern. The main character set is quite strict and is characterized by sharp and clear terminals and stiff junctions between stems and bowls. Alternates are more facile and calligraphic. Neutral design of the main character set makes the typeface suitable for scientific and literary texts. Alternates are ideally suited for science fiction, fantasy and art books. The typeface was designed by Natalia Vasilyeva and released by ParaType in 2014.
Couture has taken years to come to fruition. We cannot say it is a dutiful revival of Imre Reiner’s Corvinus—a typeface that has always had a soft spot in many of our hearts for its quirkiness and eccentricities. It’s not. What it is is a reassessment of all of the things that made Corvinus great, distilled in a logical, consistent system.
#44: Sica Condensed
Veotec is a classic humanist sans that skillfully works for both screen and print due to its steep and precise angles enabling more negative space. Not only does this methodical approach improve legibility and readability at small sizes, it allows the bolder weights to feel harmonised and consistent without the compromise of this legibility. Angles are refined and considered with a balance between sharp and round curves adding a unique feature to this font. This also gives a modern and appealing feel at large sizes. Details include 6 well constructed weights with a full European character set, manually edited kerning, which is more open for on-screen devices, ligatures and alternatives.
