The US-focussed society for people interested in fonts and typography, and which puts on TypeCon annually.
From their website: “The Society of Typographic Aficionados (SOTA) is a non-profit organization devoted to type, typography, and the related arts. We are proud to have a wonderful group of members from all over the world! SOTA offers excellent benefits and a strong sense of community to its members and partners.”
The group is best known for its popular conferences on the typography theme, called TypeCon. These conferences have been and will be:
