Javascript Developer

Location: Woburn, Massachusetts

We’re looking for a talented Javascript developer to join our small, energetic development team. We want someone who realizes that knowing JavaScript is far more than just being able to hide divs, who understands that the front-end of a modern web app needs to be performance oriented and feature driven.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Writing performant JavaScript to develop and modernize experiences
  • Implementing client-side data modeling and templating using Backbone.js
  • Collaborating with back-end team to integrate RESTful APIs

What you should bring:

  • BS/BA in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
  • Exceptional work ethic
  • Excellent Javascript skills
  • Understanding of MV* frameworks
  • Solid HTML & CSS skills
  • Experience developing web applications

Web UI Developer

Location: Woburn, Massachusetts

We’re looking for a skilled front-end developer to join our small, energetic team as the go-to UI developer. This is a full time on-site contract position through the end of 2014.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Developing and modernizing front end web experiences
  • Rapid prototyping of UI design concepts
  • Transforming final UI designs into rich, responsive user experiences

What you should bring:

  • 1 or more years of relevant experience
  • Exceptional work ethic
  • Strong HTML & CSS skills
  • A keen eye for keeping visual consistency throughout a product
  • Experience with Javascript/jQuery
  • Previous experience implementing responsive layouts.
  • Ability to prioritize work on multiple projects
  • Can collaborate with team members, but can complete projects individually

  • Experience with CSS preprocessors, like Sass

Technical Support

Location: Belfast, Northern Ireland

Our Tech Support Representatives work with customers to resolve their technical and order related issues, with suppliers to report and resolve issues with items, and with our development team towards identifying and improving customer experiences..

As software continually progresses, you will need to be able to quickly adapt with changes and unknown factors that may come with new business.

What you’ll be doing(additional duties as assigned):

  • Email support: respond and assist customers in all aspects of regular customer needs, such as finding, purchasing, downloading, installing and implementing products.
  • Resolve purchase and billing issues. Purchases can be made by credit card, PayPal, or invoice.
  • Work with corporate customers in establishing invoice accounts, processing purchase orders, and invoicing.
  • Assist customers with file format changes, font style changes, and available updates.
  • Work directly with foundries regarding customer complaints, test supplier updates, and post to the MyFonts database.
  • Review/approve foundry Specials Offers. Contact foundries regarding any discrepancies.
  • Help maintain and update existing online documentation, such as Help pages.
  • Communicate with the MyFonts development team regarding common customer problems with website features.
  • Escalate all support and feature enhancement requests as needed.

What you should bring:

  • Excellent understanding of how fonts are installed, used, and how to apply font features in common composing applications, such as Adobe Creative Cloud & Microsoft Office, on both Windows and Mac OS X operating systems. Familiarity with current and previous versions is most favorable.
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and web technologies, and in particular, be able to diagnose webfont problems with web resources.
  • Should be an excellent communicator. This includes the ability to clearly explain technical issues to non-technical customers in a professional yet friendly manner. Communication is primarily via e-mail.
  • Self-motivated and able to work as a team member, or individually, organizing his or her workload to achieve prompt, courteous and accurate responses to requests for help or information from MyFonts customers and prospective customers.
