Craig Eliason comes to font design from an academic perspective. He is a professor of modern art and design history at the University of St. Thomas in Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA. He researches the history of type design, and particularly the history of its classification and vocabulary. He began designing his own fonts in 2008.
