Donald Beekman of Netherlands

Born: Nieuwer Amstel, 1961

Donald Beekman, born and raised in Amsterdam, studied at the Rietveld Art Academy and started his own graphic design and music studio called [DBXL]. Since then he has been designing logos, record and cd sleeves, flyers, posters, magazines and packaging for clients mostly in the music business, as well as writing, directing, and designing shows for children’s television. He also composes and produces music, with his crew Backbone Sound System, and runs the underground record label Illy Noiz.

Beekman’s fonts are published by FontShop International, Cape-Arcona, Unionfonts and Die Gestalten.
