Eyad Al-Samman is a graphic designer, typographer, photographer, translator, and a freelance literary journalist. He was born in Sana'a city, Yemen, in October 1976. Eyad has a bachelor degree in electrical engineering and working officially now as a senior specialist. He has started working as a graphic designer since 1999 and discovered the magic world of typography in the mid-2000s. His first designed typeface is “Concordia” which has special meanings and memories for him. Other several designs for other Arabic and Latin fonts have followed in the recent years. One of the most influential statements that affected Eyad as a naive typographer is the one for “Helmut Schmid” when he says: “Typography needs to be audible. Typography needs to be felt. Typography needs to be experienced.” Eyad has the dream of having one of his designed fonts used and published in any product or publication at any place in this world and he might achieve this dream here at this great website; at MyFonts.com
