A bold, chunky typeface with architectural, geometric letterforms that further explores the manufactured or prefabricated aesthetic, the idea of constructing letterforms from a set of graphic shapes. Letters are treated as individual graphic elements within a set grid. This is an aesthetic based purely on the look of the graphic form and not whether it meets a particular typographic rule.
Almost a straightened italic typeface, August explores the idea of taking italic and script letterforms out of context and creating a typeface with a mix of references that does not look like too soft and feminine, but has a sharpness and angularity in some of its characters that jars against this softness.
A two version type family, Intimo One is a serif dot matrix typeface, letterforms made up of grid-based dots. Intimo Two is also made up of dots, but in this case the lines are curved, giving a softer, more organic feel.
