Cannonball is derived from a Jazz record-sleeve for Cannonball Adderley. I think it is from the sixties or seventies of last century. The type is very typical for that time and I tried to be as true to the original design as possible. I had to add lots of letters, cyphers and other parts of the font with intuition. There are upper-case letters only, on the lowercase keys I put some embellishing swings to go along with the design. I hope you like it. The folks at »What the font« told me that the name of the original font is called »Motter Ombra« by Othmar Motter (pre-1980), too bad I did not know that, it would have saved me the work of doing this font. But they also tell me, that mine is quite different to the original, so I just keep it up for sale anyway.
I designed Elegia on a winter escape in beautiful and sunny Lisbon. That was a very elating experience, friendly people, a beautiful old town, perfect coffee and good simple cooking all that topped by extremely reasonable prices.
Jingle Doodles is for those Christmas occasions, and for those alone! I sell them very cheap because it’s Christmas time. Your red-nose-reindeer-type-designer Gert Wiescher Ho-Ho-Ho!
Schoolblock is the typeface German schoolchildren learn to imitate when they are taught the printed letters. I just had to do this one for use in a German schoolbook. Your education-designer, Gert Wiescher
English Script is the classic Spencerian English script. I always wanted to do one of these, now finally I did.
Your classical designer Gert Wiescher
Perfecto is the perfect font drawn imperfectly by hand.
At small sizes the imperfections disappear; at large sizes, the hand-drawn touch becomes dominant.
Simona is is a very lively narrow script designed in the style of the classic American advertising font from the forties or fifties.
Ornata E is the fifth of a series of old ornaments that I am trying to save from oblivion. I am completely redesigning the ornaments from scratch, trying in this one to keep the rough “letterpress” character.
These ornaments were designed around 1910, I could not find out by whom.
“Eddy” is short for my dirty version of an Edwardian Script.
I give you three versions, Big Splats, Splats and Rough. You should mix them for best results.
Your splashy designer Gert Wiescher
Pointino is a very pointed script. It comes in three versions:
Pointino-A has good looking curves,
Pointino-B has more of those good looking curves and
Pointino-C has fewer, but still sensational curves.
Script for chocolate bars or constitution.
Brigitta is the complementary joining script that can be mixed with Annabella. Also written with a Japanese brush on rough paper, first scanned and then carefully finished by hand on screen.
For that hebrew look
Penstroxx is a collection of 5 fonts that are based on the powerful, expressive Traits de plume (penstrokes) designed in Paris around 1930 by Alfred Latour. I designed a lot of extra penstrokes to make this a full set of glyphs.
