John Stephenson of United Kingdom
Died: 1864
Originally a toolmaker, he became the main figure in the Stephenson Blake foundry in Sheffield, which he started with William Garnett and financier James Blake in 1818. Died in 1864 shortly after handing over to his son Henry.
