Oleg Karpinsky
Born: Vinnitsa, Ukraine, 1954
Mr. Karpinsky was born in the Magadan region in (then) far eastern Russia. Since his graduation from the Moscow Higher School of Design in 1980, Mr. Karpinsky has worked as a graphic designer. In 1993, he began an ongoing collaboration with the Russian foundry ParaType. ParaType has published several of his typefaces. Chervonec Uzkj is Oleg’s first published type family with Bitstream.
In his down time, Mr. Karpinsky enjoys painting, literature and the visual arts.
