Union Square Union Square

Union Square is a typeface based on mosaic typography in the New York subway system. In many subway stations throughout the city, we see signs from the early part of the 20th century made from ceramic tiles. About four years ago, I started noticing the beauty and intricacy of these letterforms and decided to design a typeface based on this familiar New York vernacular.
