Stefan Hauser studied visual communications from 1992–1998 at the Hochschule für Gestaltung, Offenbach. In 2000 he founded ade hauser lacour kommunikationsgestaltung gmbh together with Laurent Lacour and Gregor Ade. Since 2003 he has taught typography at the Fachhochschule, Mainz.
