Martin Fredrikson of Sweden

Born: Gothenburg, 1970

Martin Fredrikson (Core) started to paint graffiti in the mid 1980s. In 1995, whilst pursuing a career as an artist and freelance illustrator, Martin started his font site. He moves freely within the typeface genres. Sometimes playful/peculiar/childishly simple, sometimes systematic/conceptual/strict — the same goes for his paintings.

Martin now lives and works in Stockholm. Among his most popular fonts are Pixelette, Sauerkrauto, Marfhaus and Backstabber Roman. Motor Mouth and other type is now available from Swedish foundry T4.
