Damien Gautier of France
Born: Lyon, 1971
Damien Gautier is a graphic designer in the Trafik team (Lyon, France). He learned typography with Franck Jalleau and Michel Derre at the Atelier de création typographique in the École Estienne in Paris.
He works in cultural, institutionnal and industrial areas for identity, design and multimedia projects. He also teaches typography in several schools and professionnal organizations. He is the author of “Typographie, guide pratique” (2e edition, Pyramyd), a book which shows and demonstrates how to use typography with computer tools (in French). He’s writing and second book "Compo, mise en page(s), guide pratique", available at the end of 2002 (Pyramyd).
