Gilles Le Corre of France
Born: Nantes, 1950
Soon after he was born, Gilles got away from his hardly mad family to become a sailor.
After discovering Chinese painting by chance of sea travels and ports, he begins to paint seriously in the 70s.
After many jobs he is now solely a painter, since 1987. Studio first in Nantes, then, Paris, from '86 to '90, since '90, in Talmont saint Hilaire, France.
He married Cat, the preferate model, in 1984, a wonderful daughter was born in 1986.
A lot of cats, birds, trees, the sky and the sea...
Since 2007, he designs fonts, first for his own use, and since the beginning of 2008, online. His foundry is GLC.
